TL;DR

Application Operations Engineer (Database, AWS): Designing, developing, and optimizing Oracle/MySQL database schemas and managing database environments on AWS with an accent on performance tuning, security, and operational L1/L2 troubleshooting. Focus on collaborating with development and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, stable, and high-performance database solutions.

Location: Onsite in Noida, India. Willingness to work night shifts until 3 AM required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle/MySQL database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions, ensuring high performance.
• Perform day-to-day DBA tasks including backups, recovery, user/role management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and support database environments on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Route53), including provisioning and migrations.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support application releases and resolve DB/cloud issues.
• Analyze existing SQL queries to improve and optimize them for enhanced database performance.
• Implement IAM policies and configure VPCs to create scalable and secure network for application workloads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in Designing and Data Modeling.
• Proficient with AWS (functional/operational knowledge) with an experience of 2 years covering IAM, Route53, S3, IaaS, PaaS (ElasticBeanStalk), DaaS, RDS.
• Excellent understanding of Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server.
• Willing to Work in night shift till 3am.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
