What you will do

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the stability of Oracle and cloud-native ecosystems.
• Pivot the database stack towards full automation, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and seamless scaling.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Architects to design, implement, and scale the database engines.
• Support and enhance mission-critical database systems, with a primary focus on Oracle on AWS.
• Modernize enterprise database stacks and write code to eliminate manual toil.

Requirements

• Deep Oracle Expertise: 8+ years in database engineering with Oracle (19c+), including strong skills in performance tuning, security, and access control.
• AWS Experience: 3+ years managing mission-critical Oracle databases on AWS (RDS Custom or EC2).
• Mandatory Automation Skills: Proven proficiency in Terraform OR advanced Python scripting/development.
• Advanced experience with Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data integration and migration.
• Experience applying a GitOps mindset and SDLC approach to infrastructure changes (CI/CD pipelines, GitLab/GitHub).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Foglight, DataDog, Splunk, and CloudWatch.

Nice to have

• Oracle Certification (OCP or OCM).
• Familiarity with open-source replication tools like Debezium.
• Hands-on experience with DynamoDB (NoSQL).
• AWS Certified Database - Specialty.
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
