TL;DR

Sr. Clinical Research Statistician (Medtech): Designing, validating, analyzing, and interpreting clinical data from multiple registries in support of product development and business objectives with an accent on advanced statistical methods and data quality. Focus on statistical programming, developing statistical analysis plans, and preparing scientific content for regulatory submissions and publications.

Location: Hybrid in Waltham, MA, US (greater Boston area), requiring at least 3 days in-office.

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 annually with 5% STIP.

What you will do

  • Validate and analyze clinical data using advanced statistical methods.
  • Write efficient R code for data processing and ensure data quality.
  • Perform statistical programming, data analysis, and database cleaning.
  • Collaborate with clinical affairs staff on study design and protocol.
  • Develop statistical analysis plans (SAP) and prepare statistical content for reports and publications.
  • Contribute to statistical content for FDA submissions (501k, CSRs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or similar quantitative field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 4+ years (MS) or 6+ years (BS) of statistical work experience in biomedical life science or medical device company.
  • Proficiency in R programming for clinical data environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Prior experience working with research and/or healthcare data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
