TL;DR

Location: Europe, fully remote with core collaboration hours between 10:00 and 15:00 CET.

What you will do

  • Produce polished, gameplay-ready stylized characters with strong silhouette, appeal, and personality.
  • Model, UV, texture, and shade character assets optimized for Unity3D mobile platforms.
  • Import and set up characters in Unity3D, ensuring correct materials, shaders, LODs, and lighting.
  • Collaborate with designers, animators, technical artists, and programmers in a remote setup.
  • Offer guidance and review art from other artists to uphold visual and technical quality.
  • Define and uphold technical art standards for stylized characters across mobile workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional experience as a character artist in the games industry.
  • Proven experience shipping stylized game content, preferably for Unity3D and mobile platforms.
  • Excellent stylized character modeling and texturing skills.
  • Strong understanding of form, anatomy stylization, color, and visual readability.
  • Deep knowledge of real-time constraints impacting characters on mobile.
  • Clear communicator with experience working in a fully remote, cross-disciplinary team.

Nice to have

  • Experience mentoring or leading other artists.
  • Familiarity with shader graphs or custom shaders for stylized looks.
  • Knowledge of procedural tools or automation to speed art workflows.
