What you will do

  • Build, refactor, and maintain a variety of robust AI features and systems.
  • Prototype and implement AI behaviors for in-game characters like enemies and NPCs.
  • Optimize AI perception and decision-making systems for performance.
  • Work on navigation and pathfinding systems, and debug complex AI issues.
  • Integrate and maintain AI middleware across all platforms.
  • Review the work of other engineers, provide mentorship, and create technical design documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of games industry experience, with 3+ years in a similar AI role.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Experience shipping games on current generation consoles (PS5 or XSX) and PC.
  • Advanced C++ skills and 3D math knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of blueprints and AI decision-making tools (Unreal behavior trees, utility AI), and navigation/pathfinding systems.
