Salary: $158,600 – $237,600 per annum

What you will do

• Contribute to optical component development and heterogeneous integration for next-generation products.
• Implement creative solutions to accelerate next-gen photonics product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Digital/Analog Circuit designers, Signal/Power Integrity, substrate layout, and system design.
• Design, verify, and validate integrated high-speed optical components and platforms.
• Perform system-level testing under various operating conditions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or related fields with 5+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or related fields and 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Excellent understanding of semiconductor physics and successful design experience of optical devices (detectors, modulators, integrated optical components).
• Hands-on experience with optical and RF electrical modeling and simulation software for electro-optical device design.
• Hands-on optical device characterization, including DC, RF, and device control.
• Familiarity or direct experience with advanced electro-optic material and integration into Silicon photonics platform.
• Familiarity or direct experience in standard Si/CMOS/MEMS process technologies.
• Ability to access technology and/or software subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations; eligibility to access export-controlled information is required.
