What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Android features for lodging search and shopping across hirify.global brands.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend, data) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement clean, testable code using modern Android patterns (MVVM/MVI, Jetpack libraries, Kotlin coroutines/Flow).
• Integrate with backend APIs and platform services for search, filtering, sorting, and personalization.
• Contribute to automated testing and a robust CI/CD pipeline for frequent releases.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing and shipping Android applications using Kotlin.
• Proven experience designing and consuming APIs, working with data models and persistence layers on Android.
• Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for components, including code quality, reliability, and operational support.
• Solid understanding of core mobile engineering concepts such as concurrency, networking, performance tuning, and test automation for Android applications.

Nice to have

• Experience building and evolving complex Android applications at scale, including modular architectures.
• Track record of leading technical design for significant Android features.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI- or ML-powered capabilities into mobile apps.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows in the mobile development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design basics on Android.
