TL;DR

Designer (GameDev): Designing high-quality visual materials for content production and marketing within the game industry with an accent on branding, broadcast design and video. Focus on active knowledge of the esports scene in Japan and internationally.

Location: This position is currently open to residents of Japan only.

What you will do

• Designing graphics for logos, key visuals, and online broadcast graphics streamed on Twitch, Mildon, Youtube, etc.
• Creating social media assets for marketing and promotion of LJL games with news and highlights from broadcasts.
• Designing merchandise such as T-shirts, desk mats, keyrings, and pin badges.
• Conducting photoshoots for people and products, including directing esports players for posing and setting up scenes for products.
• Contributing to meetings through brainstorming, discussion, presentation, and strategy.
• Video editing and motion graphics, creating content for broadcast interval videos, intro videos, and social media.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of esports games and awareness of the technicalities of live broadcast to understand how gameplay elements fit as a whole.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere.
• Knowledge of Typography (Japanese).
• Strong understanding of design principles.
• Ability to ideate through research, idea generation, evaluation, and refinement.
• Experience with deck building and presentation delivery.
• Ability to design for both digital and physical formats.
• Business-level Japanese is required. English should be at least conversational level.
• 4+ years of experience as a Designer (mid-career).
