🔍 We are looking for an HFT Researcher to join a closed research laboratory at the intersection of foundational AI and quantitative finance. The company operates its own AI lab building unified foundation models that simultaneously understand language and numerical time series. Now launching a high-frequency trading operation entirely from scratch!
The project is led by a leading AI researcher:
Professor at the University of Montreal, researcher at Mila – Quebec AI Institute, former lead scientist at IBM Research, author of groundbreaking papers at NeurIPS 2024, including the first open-source brain foundation models and research on personality sequence in LLMs.
✅ What matters:
• Ideally: commercial experience in high-frequency trading
• Also considered: relevant personal projects, academic research focused on market microstructure or quantitative finance
• Strong skills in machine learning with practical application to high-frequency data
• Solid foundation in statistics, probability theory, and optimization
• Confident programming skills in Python, experience with ML frameworks, attention to code efficiency
• English is mandatory, minimum B2 level
💼 What they offer:
💰 €120k – €170k gross/year — depending on experience and location, discussed individually
🌍 Locations: Montreal (Canada), the Netherlands, Serbia, Cyprus, Dubai, or remote via B2B contract from an EU time zone
✈️ Relocation to the Netherlands with support provided
