Linux Developer - Level 3 Support (Linux)

What you will do

• Evaluate and reproduce reported problem scenarios and code defects.
• Coordinate and actively participate in the bug-fixing process.
• Perform technical analysis of issues and bugs in Linux-based software products.
• Fix code defects and publish patches.
• Contribute to the future development of the team's software infrastructure.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience coding and debugging C programs.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Linux.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
• Good spoken and written English (B2 level required).
• In-depth knowledge of Linux debugging tools and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with containerization.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash).
• Programmer's knowledge of the Linux Kernel.
• Experience with RPM and packaging.
• Knowledge of Docker, cgroups, virtualization technologies such as XEN, KVM, QEMU, Libvirt.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, Google Cloud, and Hyper-V.
• Experience as an open-source package maintainer and contributor to the community.
• Good understanding of hardware architecture & concepts and their relation to the Operating System.
