Intern, Narrative Design (Gamedev): Refining characters and story in creative meetings, developing and maintaining character and lore documents. Focus on researching setting details to keep story true to established canon, playing and giving feedback on narrative prototypes.

Location: Internship locations vary by role and team. Most opportunities are hybrid or in-office and based in one of Hasbro’s core hubs or satellite offices, including: Pawtucket, RI; Seattle, WA; Austin, TX; Raleigh, NC; London, UK; Montreal, Canada; Hong Kong

Salary: $33.00 – $39.00/hour

What you will do

• Join creative meetings with writers, artists, and designers to refine characters and story.
• Develop and maintain character and lore documents so that other teams can easily find what they need to know about the narrative.
• Research setting details to keep story true to established canon.
• Play and give feedback on narrative prototypes.

Requirements

• Curiosity about the practical side of developing narrative for video games.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with online document editing tools, such as Google Docs, wiki tools, etc.
• Experience writing interactive stories (such as roleplaying games, interactive fiction, branching story books, etc.).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the games and settings.
• Familiarity with fantasy literature and video games.
