Engine Developer (World of Tanks)

TL;DR

Engine Developer (World of Tanks): Implementing and improving new and existing features in the game engine with an accent on refactoring, code optimization, and third-party library integration. Focus on performance and memory optimizations across client, server, and editor, and creating technical documentation.

Location: Hybrid (at least 3 days of work from the office in Belgrade, Serbia)

What you will do

• Implement new and improve existing features in the game engine.
• Refactor, optimize code, and fix bugs.
• Integrate and support third-party libraries.
• Perform performance and memory optimizations (client, server, editor).
• Create and update technical documentation.
• Collaborate with the game product team and QA.

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of game engine components and architecture.
• 3+ years of experience in C++ game engine development.
• Understanding of OOP, algorithms, and data structures.
• Knowledge of linear algebra (matrix, vector).
• Experience in working with debugging and profiling tools.
• Experience in multithreaded and asynchronous programming.
• English: B2 level required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Entity Component System.
• Advanced knowledge of a specific game engine system (Physics, Animation, Network, UI, Audio).
• Experience with Python.
• Experience in cross-platform development (PC, PS, Xbox).
• Experience with released titles.
