🦄 Description
Glitch Productions is an independent animation studio based in Australia creating original long-form animated shows distributed on YouTube. The studio has over 17 million subscribers and produces globally recognized IP, including Digital Circus.

In this contract role, you will use Unreal Engine to develop and implement real-time VFX and cinematic content for 3D animation productions, while supporting technical fixes and contributing to the real-time pipeline.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Work within a cinematic pipeline using Sequencer and Unreal Engine’s cinematic tools
• Develop real-time VFX solutions in Unreal Engine using Blueprints, Niagara Systems, and related tools
• Integrate Houdini procedural workflows into Unreal Engine
• Apply technical understanding of Unreal lighting systems (Lumen, Ray Tracing) for creative and technical lighting fixes
• Develop efficient procedural solutions for crowd animation and technical animation needs
• Render shots using Movie Render Queue and Movie Render Graph
• Troubleshoot and apply technical fixes across materials, lighting, assets, animation, and performance
• Collaborate with production, animation, and engineering teams to improve pipeline efficiency

📚 Required Skills
• Proven hands-on experience using Unreal Engine in a cinematic or animation pipeline (not gameplay-only)
• Strong real-time VFX experience in Unreal Engine (Niagara, Blueprint-driven tools, optimization)
• Production experience with Sequencer and Unreal cinematic toolset
• Experience integrating Houdini workflows into Unreal Engine
• Technical understanding of Unreal lighting systems (Lumen and/or Ray Tracing)
• Experience rendering final shots from Unreal Engine
• Strong cross-disciplinary technical problem-solving skills
• Experience working in production environments with deadlines and iteration cycles
