Senior Automation Engineer (QA)

TL;DR

Senior Automation Engineer (QA): Maintaining and enhancing test infrastructure and automation frameworks for hirify.global’s Trust Protection Foundation product with an accent on clarifying acceptance criteria in Agile processes and executing comprehensive test plans. Focus on analyzing testing coverage, co-developing test plans, and troubleshooting traffic and services to ensure high product quality.

Location: Hybrid role based in Sofia, Bulgaria, with 2 days per week required in the office.

What you will do

• Maintain test infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Agile teams and product owners to clarify acceptance criteria for user stories.
• Plan, define, and execute tests as part of team QA activities.
• Analyze and challenge existing manual and automatic testing coverage.
• Co-develop and review test plans with the team during Agile sprints.
• Participate in the on-call process (limited to a few weekends per year).

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to write clean, consistent, and well-documented code.
• Experience maintaining Test Automation Frameworks or Automated Tests.
• Hands-on experience and solid knowledge in Python (Python is a must).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot traffic and services and handle assigned tasks to successful completion.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-group environment with global SWE teams.
• Experience with API usage and testing.

Nice to have

• Understanding of PKI.
• Experience with Linux, SQL.
• Experience with Cloud providers (AWS, Azure) or vSphere/VMs.
• Understanding of security principles and/or experience with security software.
