Python Engineer (Data/ML)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Implement and support ML workflows and model data pipelines.
• Work with large datasets in BigQuery and streaming data via Kafka.
• Containerize applications and services using Docker.
• Collaborate with ML engineers in Jupyter environments.
• Optimize data storage, performance, and reliability, including monitoring.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Python Backend Engineer.
• Strong Python skills (data processing, APIs, async basics).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid knowledge of BigQuery and SQL optimization.
• Experience with Kafka or other streaming systems.
• Familiarity with ML data pipelines and model lifecycle support.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Docker.
• Understanding of data quality, reliability, and performance best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting real-time or near-real-time ML systems.
• Experience with various SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, etc.).
• Cloud cost optimization experience.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Grafana).
• Experience orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow.
