TL;DR
Junior NodeJS Engineer (eCommerce): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for a distributed data platform for a North American retail e-commerce client with an accent on API design, CI/CD automation, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on rebuilding a legacy ecosystem for scalability, performance, and security, and ensuring high standards for code quality and DevOps practices.
Location: Must be based in Central Europe

What you will do
- Design, build, and enhance APIs, CI/CD automation, tests, and proofs of concept for customer-focused solutions.
- Apply strong engineering principles and analytical thinking to design and implement clean solutions.
- Collaborate with peers, product, and business teams to define requirements, scope work, and review designs/code.
- Uphold high standards for code quality, testing, automation, and DevOps practices including monitoring, alerting, and cloud infrastructure.
- Share knowledge, continuously learn, and contribute to team growth.
- Communicate effectively, adapt to changing needs, and take ownership to drive results.
Requirements
- 1-2 years professional experience in NodeJS programming language
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
- English: B2 level required
- Strong engineering principles, analytical thinking, and business understanding.
- Ability to collaborate, adapt to changing needs, and take ownership.
Nice to have
- Java, Go language experience.
- Kafka or alternative message brokers.
- Familiarity with Relational and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of RESTful architecture, microservices, JSON, and XML.
- Knowledge of Data engineering frameworks and technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Docker.
