Presentation Design Lead

Presentation Design Lead (General): Managing the presentation design function to shape the company’s visual storytelling and brand expression across keynotes, events, and internal communications. Focus on art directing motion design, translating complex concepts into compelling narratives, and collaborating directly with C-suite stakeholders in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.

Location: Based in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Staff are expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $305,000 - $385,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead presentation design across the company, setting the creative bar for keynotes, events, product launches, internal communications, and executive presentations.
• Art direct and design presentations that bring products and ideas to life, including demo environments, pre-designed motion sequences, and motion design.
• Partner on content strategy and brand storytelling through visual design to ensure every presentation tells a clear, compelling narrative.
• Partner directly with executives and senior leadership to design and deliver presentation content under tight timelines and evolving requirements.
• Establish and maintain design systems, templates, and guidelines for presentation design across the organization.
• Hire and manage designers and contractors, and collaborate effectively with external agencies to scale output without compromising quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience leading presentation design with a strong portfolio of keynote and executive presentation work.
• Proficient in art direction for motion design, with a high bar for visual storytelling and brand expression.
• Direct experience working with C-level executives, translating their ideas and feedback into polished, high-impact presentations.
• Thrive under fast-changing conditions and are comfortable with last-minute pivots, live environments, and high-pressure timelines.
• Experience bringing products to life in keynote settings, including live demos and pre-designed motion scenarios.
• Have a track record of managing and mentoring designers and contractors, and partnering productively with agencies.
