What you will do

• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to enhance core trading systems.
• Lead design and development of greenfield Java services using modern engineering practices.
• Optimize engine latency and throughput across varying load scenarios.
• Monitor production systems and analyze large datasets to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
• Deliver trading infrastructure supporting multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and options.

Requirements

• Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
• 5+ years experience building low‑latency, high‑throughput distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in Java concurrency and multithreading, and understanding of JVM internals and garbage collection tuning.
• Experience working in trading, brokerage, fintech, or other real‑time transaction platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Fixed Income and Options asset classes.
• Experience deploying applications in AWS or similar cloud environments, with strong computer science fundamentals including data structures and system design.

Nice to have

• Experience with messaging systems or streaming frameworks (Kafka, JMS, Aeron, ActiveMQ).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman).
• Knowledge of FIX protocol.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Linux shell scripting.
