Location: 100% office-based in Valencia, Spain. Candidates must already be based in Valencia.

What you will do

• Implement and manage data protection controls within internal systems, monitoring for suspicious activity.
• Add security monitoring to new business processes and systems.
• Monitor security signals from internal systems and escalate suspicious cases to the Incident Response team.
• Assist security teams during internal investigations by providing evidence from the system.
• Act as a Business Analyst/Internal Stakeholder for internal Data protection tool development, defining new use cases and formalizing requirements.
• Conduct functional testing for new features and system updates.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional experience as an Information Security Analyst or in a similar role.
• Understanding of data protection principles and controls.
• Strong ability to gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into technical tasks.
• Meticulous approach to managing controls across multiple systems.
• Proactive communication and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Basic SQL skills for data verification and an understanding of IT system integration (APIs, microservices).
• Familiarity with Incident Response Process.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or GDPR.
• Previous experience in QA or functional testing.
