What you will do
- Optimize auction and ad retrieval systems to improve relevance and advertiser reach.
- Implement backend APIs and microservices to support high-quality advertiser-facing UI experiences.
- Build and scale reliable services for ad serving, selection, and campaign management.
- Collaborate with ML and data teams to integrate personalized recommendations and AI-assisted decision support.
- Utilize LLMs and generative AI to simplify advertiser workflows and automate complex tasks.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in observability and code quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in a modern language such as Java or Kotlin.
- Proven experience building and maintaining backend APIs, gRPC, and microservices in cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and data flows.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools and workflows for real-world products.
Nice to have
- Experience with advertising technologies like RTB and auctions.
- Familiarity with Apache Flink or Spark.
- Product-minded approach to building scalable system solutions.
- Experience applying generative AI to internal tools or user experiences.
