What you will do

• Drive cross-squad technical outcomes by shaping solutions for complex problems and guiding squads toward sensible architectural decisions.
• Own technical decision-making mechanisms, including writing and stewarding RFCs/ADRs and running design reviews.
• Manage dependencies and execution risks by mapping dependencies, surfacing risks early, and proposing mitigation options.
• Communicate proactively and clearly, providing regular written updates and maintaining a shared source of truth for key initiatives.
• Raise quality and engineering standards by setting expectations for code health, testing strategy, and production readiness.
• Continuously improve platforms and developer experience by reducing duplication and strengthening shared abstractions.

Requirements

• Strong technical background with 12+ years designing and engineering large-scale systems.
• Proven ability to lead architectural decisions on complex systems with multiple stakeholders and constraints.
• Strong judgment, preferring simple, maintainable solutions over unnecessary complexity.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity, bringing clarity and structure when things are messy.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Broad systems thinker with the ability to anticipate downstream impacts across the wider business and technology ecosystem.
