Senior Security Engineer

Location: Remote within EMEA. Offices are located in Czech Republic (Prague), Bulgaria (Sofia), Portugal, and Italy.

What you will do

• Security code audit and review of the software application stack.
• Design, develop, and implement security solutions that protect hirify.global's software products and infrastructure.
• Conduct thorough quality and performance testing of security features and systems.
• Apply advanced software engineering concepts and principles to create scalable, maintainable, and secure software.
• Establish and enforce robust software engineering processes within the security team, including secure coding guidelines, code reviews, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Stay abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing and leading application security projects.
• Strong expertise in quality assurance and performance testing methodologies, particularly as applied to security systems.
• Deep understanding and practical application of core software engineering concepts and principles.
• Extensive experience with various software engineering processes, including agile development and secure SDLC.
• Proficiency in utilizing and evaluating a wide range of software engineering tools relevant to security development and operations.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain secure software solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
