TL;DR

Principal Platform Engineer (AI): Designing and building the 'Golden Path' engine to streamline developer workflows and enable product teams to ship faster and safer. Focus on engineering foundational software blocks, prototyping emerging technologies like AI/LLM agents, and eliminating development lifecycle friction points.

Location: On-site in Geneva, Switzerland

What you will do

  • Build high-leverage code (Backstage plugin, GitHub Action, Go/Python CLI) to bridge infrastructure and developer experience.
  • Experiment and prototype new architectural standards with "Tracer Bullet" implementations.
  • Partner directly with Product Squads to adopt Golden Paths and gather feedback.
  • Elevate technical standards and mentor other engineers in the Platform Engineering division.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong "Builder" mindset, comfortable coding in Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
  • Deep expertise in Cloud Native Architecture standards, including Networking, Containers, and Kubernetes, with experience designing distributed systems.
  • Active exploration of GenAI, LLM Agents, and intelligent automation to revolutionize developer experience.
  • Experience treating internal infrastructure as a product, building CLI-first platforms and IDE-integrated workflows.
  • Ability to influence without authority, combining empathy with strategic technical leadership to drive platform adoption.
