Senior Technical Presales Solutions Architect (AI): Leads technical engagement for a large Oil & Gas customer, demonstrating the Data Intelligence Platform and solving complex data challenges with an accent on technical leadership, vision-setting, and architecture design. Focus on influencing stakeholders, coaching junior architects, and driving adoption of the Lakehouse platform in the energy sector.
Location: London, United Kingdom. The role requires travel to customer sites in the UK and to London offices (approx. 20-30% of the time) and once a quarter for international travel.

What you will do
- Own overall technical engagement and lead the globally distributed field engineering team for a major Oil & Gas customer.
- Partner with the Global Account Director to develop customer engagement strategies and orchestrate global account execution.
- Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels on the vision and solution strategy, integrating with the wider cloud ecosystem.
- Act as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Lakehouse platform.
- Contribute to ' technical community through collateral development and leading workshops.
Requirements
- Experience engaging with globally distributed customers and managing complex technical pre-sales lifecycles.
- Background in the Strategic Account Energy, Utilities, or Oil & Gas vertical sectors.
- An AI-builder mindset with experience in Data Science, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Data Warehousing, or Data Engineering.
- Ability to set strategic vision and influence C-level executives.
- Prior experience with coding in Python, PySpark, or SQL, and willingness to learn Spark.
- Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Must be based in the UK and travel to customer sites in the UK and London offices (approx. 20-30% of the time).
