Senior Android Developer (Android): Building and optimizing compelling new user experiences within hirify.global’s Android apps with an accent on screen replication, advanced car integration, and hybrid navigation. Focus on crafting new features, maintaining existing codebases, and integrating with the NAV SDK.

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Hybrid work with two days a week in the office and three days remote. Options to work from home country and abroad for a set number of days each year.

What you will do

• Develop high‑quality Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Maintain and modernize existing Android codebases (XML, Fragments).
• Build UI layers that consume APIs and integrate seamlessly with the NAV SDK.
• Write high‑quality automated tests, especially using Espresso.
• Collaborate with QA, product, and design teams.
• Help shape next-generation automotive navigation technology, including EV‑focused features.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
• 10+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Expert-level Kotlin skills and strong experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Solid background with legacy Android technologies (XML layouts, Fragments, older patterns).
• Strong testing mindset and hands‑on experience with Espresso or similar native testing frameworks.
• Good understanding of dependency injection (Dagger or Koin).
• Strong API consumption and integration skills.
• Ability to work with SDK‑like architectures or mobile frameworks.
• A focus on clean architecture, code quality, and maintainability.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
