What you will do

• Inspect science initiatives across Amazon and apply them to the book reading experience.
• Design and implement new features and algorithms based on thorough research.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, PMs, and other scientists.
• Deliver solutions into production, assuming responsibility for code quality and stability.
• Mentor junior scientists, review their work, and help develop team roadmaps.
• Invent, refine, and develop solutions to ensure they meet customer needs and team goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD or Master's degree.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
• Expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, deep learning, data mining, information retrieval, or statistics.
• Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, and model evaluation techniques.
• Work authorization for India is required.

• Experience using Unix/Linux.
