Data Engineer Intern, Finance Experience (AI)

TL;DR

Data Engineer Intern (AI): Building and optimizing data foundations and automated workflows for finance and payment operations with an accent on data pipeline construction and knowledge database structuring for AI agents. Focus on prototyping AI agents for support requests and creating automated reporting solutions.

Location: Paris, France. Hybrid work environment (2 remote days/week, 1 remote week/quarter). Must be authorized to work in France (EU Nationality or valid student visa/work permit).

Salary: €1,400–€1,600 per month

What you will do

• Participate in building and maintaining automated data pipelines (ELT/ETL).
• Assist in structuring a knowledge database for support use cases for AI agent access.
• Contribute to automation and AI initiatives, including prototyping AI agents and building diagnostic helpers.
• Optionally participate in analysis, defining metrics, creating dashboards, and generating reports.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in your last year of an Engineering School/Masters University with a Data Engineering specialization and your university must provide an internship agreement.
• Solid foundations in Python and SQL with real-world data engineering experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be looking for a 6-month, full-time internship starting March/April 2026.
• Must be authorized to work in France (EU Nationality or in possession of valid student visa/work permit).

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts (bonus: agent frameworks).
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing.
• Exposure to workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or dbt.
• French is a plus.
