What you will do

• Define, lead, and contribute to the development of data-intensive enhancements in hirify.globalsearch.
• Research the latest features, data structures, and algorithms to build relevant capabilities for users.
• Collaborate with partners and product teams to understand needs and build a strategic long-term vision.
• Apply past experience in analytics systems to help build and drive an innovative roadmap for ES|QL and the compute engine.
• Provide technical vision and direction for customer/user interfaces and underlying language syntax/compute infrastructure.
• Improve areas of hirify.globalsearch based on questions and instincts.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical projects in data and enterprise architecture, with proven knowledge in sophisticated technical infrastructures.
• Experience mentoring expert engineers, providing technical and professional guidance.
• Experience defining a long-term technical vision for an area of a data-intensive application, working across teams and organizations.
• Hands-on experience with search and analytics APIs (e.g., Splunk SPL, hirify.globalsearch, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic).
• Strong skills in core Java, conversational in standard library data structures, concurrency constructs, and newer features like lambdas.
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy, able to tackle projects and guide them from beginning to end.
• Experience with data storage technologies like hirify.globalsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building with hirify.globalsearch and understanding search and information retrieval.
• Experience working with open source projects and familiar with source control workflow and continuous integration.
