Location: Remote-first, but in-person participation for team and company-wide offsites is required multiple times annually.

Salary: £101,970—£113,300 GBP

What you will do

• Conduct complex investigations into various cases such as account takeovers, investment scams, and other potential illegal activities.
• Identify threat actors and work to recover funds for victims.
• Remain current with crypto industry developments, new threat actor TTPs, network protocols, and applicable regulations.
• Prepare detailed written intelligence reports and briefing decks for law enforcement.
• Master evolving investigative tools for blockchain analytics, social media platforms, and data extraction/analysis.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to more junior investigators.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience investigating cybercrime and financial crimes, preferably at financial institutions or technology companies.
• Proven experience in the cyber threat landscape with demonstrated ability to respond rapidly to threat incidents.
• Strong understanding of blockchain analysis, transaction tracing, and identifying complex obfuscation techniques.
• Hands-on experience investigating illicit activity including ransomware attacks, fraud/theft, and Terror Financing (TF).
• Proficiency in SQL and spreadsheet tools for data analysis.
• Expertise in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques and public records research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts.

Nice to have

• Foreign language skills.
• One or more relevant certifications (e.g., CRC, CISC, CEIC, TRM-CI, TRM-ACI).
• Experience working in or with law enforcement.
• Proficiency in Python or Dune.
