RFI Compliance Specialist

TL;DR

RFI Compliance Specialist (Cybersecurity): Partnering with sales engineering and account executives to represent cybersecurity and compliance practices, focusing on reviewing compliance requirements, coordinating RFP responses, and managing due diligence artifacts. Focus on gathering and reporting on evolving customer requirements, driving proactive conversations from identified patterns, and leading pre-sales security calls.

Location: Remote across Eastern Canada (excluding Québec) and the US East Coast for EST/AST time zones. If you are local to the Greater Toronto Area, you can expect to come to the hirify.global Toronto office twice per week on days of your choice.

Salary: $79,500–$107,500 CAD

What you will do

• Create and maintain due diligence artifacts for new products and integrations.
• Gather and report on customer requirement trends to support Compliance and Cybersecurity objectives.
• Track and report on customer due diligence metrics and engagement.
• Identify patterns in requests and discussions to drive proactive actions.
• Lead pre-sales security calls with customer IT, Security, and Compliance teams.
• Maintain the cybersecurity responses library and complete external security questionnaires.
• Review and negotiate customer security amendments and requests.
• Stay up-to-date on the Compliance team's roadmap activities and update customer-facing documentation.

Requirements

• Direct experience in compliance, information security, or sales engineering roles.
• Demonstrated conversational understanding and ability to discuss technological concepts (e.g., Cloud-computing, Encryption, Containerization, IaC, WAF).
• Comfort with public speaking and presenting to leadership, with clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in risk analysis, applying compensating controls, and reviewing contract amendments.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to track and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working within a technology or SaaS company environment.
• Must be located remotely across Eastern Canada (excluding Québec) and the US East Coast for EST/AST time zones.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a cybersecurity compliance or information technology sourcing role.
• Proficiency with project management tools and RFP response tooling (e.g., AutoRFP, SafeBase, Loopio).
• Knowledge and familiarity with privacy legislation (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, LGP).
• Exposure and proficiency with AI tools.
