What you will do

• Define, lead, and contribute to the evolution of core search and indexing capabilities.
• Research advances in search infrastructure, data structures, and retrieval algorithms.
• Work closely with partners and product teams to shape the long-term technical vision for search at hirify.global.
• Drive an innovative roadmap for hirify.globalsearch’s indexing, query execution, and relevance layers.
• Act as a go-to expert for several domains within hirify.globalsearch, continuously improving them.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical projects in search infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Proven knowledge in building and operating sophisticated search platforms.
• Experience defining a long-term technical vision for a core search or retrieval system.
• Hands-on experience with search and indexing technologies such as hirify.globalsearch, Lucene, or Solr.
• Strong skills in core Java, advanced data structures, concurrency constructs, and optimization for efficient algorithms.
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy, guiding projects from concept to completion.
• English: B2 required
• Must be based in or able to work from London, United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, or Switzerland. Employment is subject to U.S. and other country export controls; individuals located in or nationals of Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, the Crimea Region of Ukraine, the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the Luhansk People’s Republic may require an export license.
