Responsibilities:
• Orderly process and settle trades with securities and derivative contracts (this includes confirmation, matching and carrying out investigations concerning the reasons of any delays in settlement; knowledge of the settlement process in Euroclear/Clearstream, DTC and European local markets, taxes and charges related to trades), client non trading orders processing (securities receipt, withdrawal, transfers, ADR conversions, DVP/RVP orders)
• Ensure proper record keeping of proprietary and client transactions, balances and transfers details and documents, including client non-trading instructions
• Perform reconciliations, including reconciling trades and securities balances and derivatives open positions between back-office system and statements of external providers (brokers and/or custodians)
• Manage payments, including transferring cash to/withdrawing cash from market intermediaries, banking institutions and other financial service providers, exchanges, clearing and settlement agencies and executing clients' withdrawals
• Participate in operational projects (including new Bank-Client systems, SWIFT)
• Negotiate and resolve current operational issues with external providers (Banks, Depositories, Clearing agents)
• Liaise with the Company's auditors and the competent authorities
• Optimize and automate unit's processes and functionality
• Develop, review and update policies, procedures and manuals under his/her remit
Key requirements:
• Higher education
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in brokerage/investment firm
• Subject matter expert in brokerage products, i.e, structured products, derivatives, clearing platforms, settlement European and US markets, general knowledge and understanding of corporate actions, DMA trading service
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Fluent/Upper Intermediate English level
• A “hands-on” work ethic
• Ability to work with tough deadlines and extra hours
Terms:
• Possibility to work in shifts (1st shift starts at 8:30 and last shift ends at 20:00. Work time is 8 hour per day and shifts will be set up according to business requirements)
• Possibility to work on holiday (also with shifts)
• Place of work – Limassol, Cyprus
