Foundation IP Design Engineer

TL;DR

Foundation IP Design Engineer: Designing and building memory compilers and custom macros on the bleeding edge of process technology with an accent on analyzing memory architectures, transistor-level circuit design, and physical implementation. Focus on simulating and verifying circuit designs, developing automation scripts, and debugging silicon issues.

What you will do

• Analyze different memory architectures and design/build memory or circuit blocks.
• Simulate and analyze circuit designs using transistor-level simulators, including post-layout verification.
• Perform physical implementation, floorplanning, and leafcell layout integration.
• Integrate characterization flows and develop scripts for automation, simulations, and verification.
• Specify and verify various behavioral and physical memory models.
• Document design specifications, define silicon test plans, and help debug silicon issues.

Requirements

• Knowledge in the development of memory compilers or custom digital circuits (SRAMs, Register-files, ROM).
• Good understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior, device physics, signal integrity, EM/IR, and reliability analysis.
• Understanding of memory behavioral and physical models, and DFT schemes.
• Proficient in running simulators and writing automation scripts.
• BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of related experience.
• English: B2 required.
