Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric): Designing and implementing modern data solutions that support advanced analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives with an accent on developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components. Focus on working with OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, and Lakehouse architectures, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data workflows.

Location: Hybrid, based in Diegem, Belgium. Work 70% from home with a flex abroad program allowing up to 45 days of work from abroad.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Work with OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms.
  • Optimize data workflows and troubleshoot performance issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric components.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch with professional working proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • Microsoft certifications in Azure Data Engineering or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, or machine learning workflows.
  • Familiarity with data mesh or data fabric concepts.
