Automation Engineer (Automation Technology)

TL;DR

Automation Engineer (Automation Technology): Designing and optimizing automation software for aseptic filler machines with an accent on the development, testing, and customer support of standard and safety automation software. Focus on functional analysis, FMEA, software testing methodologies, and integration with hardware and HMI teams.

Location: Onsite in Parma, Italy. Willingness to travel is required.

What you will do

• Design automation software for actual/old range of aseptic filler machines.
• Manage the development of automation software (standard and safety) until field test and customer support.
• Respect guidelines and rules in software development.
• Work in strong relationship with hardware team and HMI team.
• Participate in functional analysis and FMEA.
• Procure all technical documents linked to the software and test all software following defined methods.
• Support the Supply department.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Automation Technology or a related field.
• Fluent in English (C1).
• Strong experience with MS Office and Outlook.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Deep understanding of electrical and HMI design.
• Proficiency in PLC, motion control, hardware, networking, mechatronics, and safety.
• Expertise in machine development and skills in B&R and Siemens systems.
• Willingness to travel is required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in French or Italian.
