Backend Engineer Intern (Python/Go): Supporting the deprecation of a legacy CRM service by contributing to a robust, provider-agnostic CRM client library with an accent on API design, observability, and reliability features. Focus on building a Python client, implementing distributed rate limiting, and assisting with migration efforts.

Location: Paris, France. This is a hybrid role, with 2 remote days a week and 1 remote work week per quarter. You must be authorized to work in France (EU Nationality or in possession of valid student visa/work permit).

Compensation: €1.4K–€1.6K per month

What you will do

• Participate in building a Python CRM client with a clean, typed API for core operations.
• Assist in implementing first-class observability (metrics, logs, traces) and contribute to dashboards/alerts.
• Contribute to reliability features such as retries, circuit breaking, safe failure handling, and distributed rate limiting.
• Help with migration efforts by supporting adapter creation, feature flags, and rollout/rollback playbooks.
• Participate in writing tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and producing clear documentation.
• Work closely with feature teams during pilots to collect feedback and iterate on the API and developer experience.
• (Bonus) Contribute to a Golang (Go) variant with a matching API surface and similar observability/reliability patterns.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in your last year of an Engineering School with a backend specialization/ University Master's degree and your university can provide an internship agreement.
• Knowledge of basic coding languages, ideally Python, and basic programming experience (internships, GitHub, personal projects).
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems; Linux is a plus.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Fluent in English.
• Looking for a 6-month, full-time internship (35h/week) starting March/April 2026.
• Authorized to work in France (EU Nationality or in possession of valid student visa/work permit).
