Cyber Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR
Cyber Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Protecting internal and customer environments through proactive security operations, monitoring, and incident response with an accent on governance, tooling, and real-world security operations. Focus on acting as an escalation point for SOC teams, maintaining security posture, and supporting security projects and changes.
Location: Must be able to work within 9am to 6pm M-F AEST Sydney hours

What you will do
- Monitor alerts, analyze data sources, and respond to security incidents.
- Act as an escalation point for L1–L3 SOC teams as a security subject matter expert.
- Participate in real-time incident response and red team exercises.
- Maintain and improve the security posture of internal and customer environments, ensuring alignment with security frameworks.
- Act as a security engineer on internal and customer-facing projects.
- Ensure tickets, incidents, and actions are documented and updated in line with SLAs and contribute to operational consistency.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in a cyber security role.
- Prior background in network, infrastructure, or endpoint support.
- Experience working in or alongside a SOC/NOC environment.
- Exposure to SIEM, CASB, vulnerability scanning, and security testing.
- Strong understanding of incident response and security operations.
- Familiarity with NIST, ISM, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or similar security frameworks.
- CEH, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications.
- English: B2 required.
- Must be able to work within 9am to 6pm M-F AEST Sydney hours.

- Understanding of ITIL processes (ITIL Foundation a plus).
