Pipeline Developer

Focus on driving the uptake of new tools across the studio and working with client teams to prevent duplication.

Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, California, USA. Teams are in the office around three days a week.

Salary: $107,000–$142,500

What you will do

• Develop and support tools to accelerate workflow for high-quality imagery production.
• Identify changing requirements and recommend effective solutions.
• Manage render scenes, light rigs, and production assets.
• Technically and creatively promote and maintain consistent product quality and desired look.
• Drive the uptake of new tools across the studio.
• Collaborate with client teams to avoid tool duplication.

Requirements

• Proficient in Python and Linux shell languages (csh, tcsh, bash).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in visual effects or high-end commercial based work.
• Strong understanding of CG production pipelines, techniques, and technologies.
• Proficient with one or more software APIs, including Maya, Nuke, VRay, or Deadline.
• Must have a mature approach to software design and implementation.
• Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Visual Effects Asset Management System design or development.
