What you will do
- Learn and work with hirify.global’s core tech stack, including K-pro and its multimodal data platform.
- Build and integrate machine learning models into K-pro for real scientific use cases.
- Work on backend components, APIs, and workflows to ensure models run efficiently and smoothly for users.
- Contribute to proof-of-concept features that allow users to explore and predict signals from biological data.
- Support the development of biological target ranking features and related visualizations.
- Document your work, share learnings with the team, and present outcomes at the end of the internship.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree (M2) or final year of engineering school in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in software development best practices (version control, code reviews, testing).
- Familiarity with backend development and API design (REST APIs, async programming).
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and prompt engineering.
- Good communication skills, comfortable working with cross-functional teams and non-technical users.
- Fluent in English (working language).
Nice to have
- Prior internship or project experience in ML engineering, MLOps, or production ML systems.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- Experience with bioinformatics, computational biology, medical imaging, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, or healthcare data.
- Knowledge of data visualization libraries (Plotly, Matplotlib, etc.).
