TL;DR
Senior Vulnerability Detection Engineer (Cybersecurity): Researching, developing, and delivering host and network vulnerability assessment detections with an accent on AI-enhanced detection pipelines and exposure management. Focus on designing intelligent vulnerability assessment workflows, automating validation processes, and collaborating across distributed teams.
Location: Hybrid work with requirement to work from Sunnyvale, CA office 2 days per week, United States only.
Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year

What you will do
- Lead and collaborate with a team of Vulnerability Detection Engineers and Researchers to plan and execute detection coverage for Exposure Management platforms.
- Drive thought leadership and analysis on prevalent vulnerabilities and risk-based vulnerability management.
- Conduct vulnerability data discovery and validation ensuring data efficacy and accuracy.
- Work cross-functionally with product management and engineering teams across multiple locations.
- Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate vulnerability analysis and detection rule creation with human oversight.
- Design and implement AI agent workflows for automated multi-step vulnerability validation with human-in-the-loop verification.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an individual contributor; management experience is a plus.
- Ability to work from Sunnyvale, CA office 2 days per week (hybrid work).
- Experience in cybersecurity industry and vulnerability detection development.
- Programming/scripting skills in Python, Perl, Golang for automation.
- Strong communication skills to articulate at all levels including executives.
- Familiarity with Agile processes and distributed team collaboration.
Nice to have
- Understanding of vulnerability mitigations, prioritization models, and software detection techniques.
- Experience designing validation workflows for security products.
- Experience with Go and/or Python beyond scripting.
- Experience working in remote and distributed environments.
- Strong design, problem-solving skills, and passion for engineering excellence.
