TL;DR

Senior Google Cloud Architect (GCP): Defining and designing reference architectures on Google Cloud Platform with an accent on migration initiatives, application modernization, and ensuring best practices in security and cost governance. Focus on supporting development teams in adopting cloud-native architectures, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines, and acting as a technical reference point for Cloud initiatives.

Location: Hybrid work model, based in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal.

What you will do

• Define and design reference architectures on Google Cloud Platform, aligned with market best practices.
• Lead migration initiatives to GCP, application modernization, and cloud-native architecture implementation.
• Develop architectural blueprints, technology roadmaps, and technical documentation.
• Ensure best practices in security, networking, IAM, compliance, and cost governance.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams (DevOps, Engineering, SecOps, Product) to implement robust and scalable solutions.
• Act as a technical reference point for Cloud initiatives and support pre-sales processes.

Requirements

• Solid experience in architecture and implementation on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong command of GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud IAM, Secrets Manager, and KMS.
• Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and DevOps practices.
• Mastery of distributed architectures, event-driven systems, APIs, and microservices.
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and observability (Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring).
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent.
• Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Additional knowledge of cloud security (CSA, ISO27001, Zero Trust).
