Network Engineer II (Fintech)

TL;DR

Network Engineer (Fintech): Designing and implementing robust network solutions for hirify.global's platform infrastructure with an accent on high availability, reliability, and scalability standards. Focus on managing multi-vendor network devices, cloud environments (GCP, AWS), routing protocols, and security practices to support cross-border finance services.

Location: São Paulo - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home. Occasional travel to hirify.global locations may be required.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to ensure high availability and reliability of network and platform infrastructure.
• Design and implement new systems and services that comply with reliability and scalability standards.
• Develop and maintain monitoring protocols, incident management, and troubleshooting procedures for network infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding to high-severity incidents to maintain system availability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and practices in Networking and Infrastructure.
• Design and automate processes and tools to enhance efficiency and minimise downtime.

Requirements

• Experience with multi-vendor network devices such as Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet.
• Knowledge of GCP and AWS Cloud environments, with a focus on network, multi-cloud, and on-premises connections.
• Experience with VPN solutions including Google BeyondCorp and VPN-SSL.
• Minimal network knowledge level should be CCNA or equivalent (CCNP is a plus).
• Experience with routing protocols like Static, OSPF, BGP, and redistribution methods to prevent loops.
• Knowledge of filter technologies including Access-list, Prefix-List, and Route-Maps.
• Experience with GCP, AWS firewall rules and Fortigate devices.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement network architecture for projects of simple to medium complexity.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in the FinTech industry.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with DevOps tools and DevSecOps practices.
• Skilled in Shell Scripting or Python Software Development.
• Knowledge of Spanish.
