QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)

TL;DR

QA Automation Engineer (Playwright): Building and optimizing automation for both frontend and backend platforms to ensure top-quality deliverables for an InsurTech product company with an accent on improving existing QA processes, automation best practices, and taking ownership of automation needs within a Business Unit. Focus on automating new features, maintaining existing tests, and collaborating across multinational teams.

Location: Remote (Europe) or Onsite in Warsaw, Poland. Occasional evening meetings may be necessary due to multinational teams across time zones.

Salary: 18,000–21,000 PLN + VAT (B2B) or equivalent (employment contract) per month

What you will do

• Ensure top quality deliverables by working with experienced QAs, developers, and product managers.
• Improve existing automation, QA processes, and best practices through collaboration with stakeholders.
• Take ownership of all automation needs within one of the key Business Units, covering mostly backend and some frontend.
• Automate new features to ensure proper coverage and support go-live with high quality standards.
• Maintain and improve existing automation tests and expand them as needed.
• Collaborate with teams from Poland and the United States, influencing project direction.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in automation testing for both frontend and backend platforms.
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Expertise in automation best practices, coding standards, Git, GitHub, and the PR process.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Familiarity with integration, end-to-end, and API automation tests.
• Experience in writing SQL queries along with data consistency and integrity in relational databases.
• Familiarity with CircleCI or other developer oriented CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
• English: C1+ (great command required).
• Polish: Basic required.
• Availability in the afternoons for occasional evening meetings to ensure smooth communication across time zones.

Nice to have

• Creativity and innovation in automation for any given area.
• Experience with Jira and agile testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Docker (building images, running and debugging containers).
• Experience with test case management tools, preferably TestRail.
