Senior Solution Architect (Hybrid Cloud)

TL;DR

Senior Infrastructure Architect: Designing and delivering hybrid cloud solutions across private and public cloud environments with an accent on resilience, simplicity and sustainability. Focus on turning requirements into hybrid cloud designs and providing consultancy to business platforms.

Location: Hybrid, at least two days per week currently at one of the following offices: Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester

Salary: £72,702 - £80,780

What you will do

• Align to a business platform responsible for a banking product or service, influencing their strategy and direction.
• Own the hybrid cloud design and governance, driving resolution through iteration, focusing on resilience, simplicity, and sustainability.
• Turn requirements and specifications into hybrid cloud designs, shaping key design decisions and iterating ideas.
• Provide consultancy and cost estimates to ensure the business platform can budget accordingly and make informed strategic decisions.
• Lead Suppliers, SMEs, and Supply Lines to write work packages that are clear, understood, and delivered on time.
• Support the wide function to enable the automation of key infrastructure blueprints and patterns.

Requirements

• Experienced in the design/architecture of Hybrid Cloud solutions in an enterprise environment, e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Middleware, Storage, Network, and Databases.
• Experience of Public & Private Cloud Platforms, concepts, and technologies including Azure, GCP, and AWS.
• Integration Architecture across private and public cloud platforms.
• Skilled at producing quality concise design documentation.
• Hands-On experience of end-to-end project delivery, working with Agile delivery models including modern software development and deployment practices.
• Understanding of building applications through containerised microservices-based architectures.
