TL;DR

Location: Onsite in Toronto, Canada

Salary: $119,000–$140,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Act as the technical owner for core Compliance and Legal applications, managing M&A-related integrations, migrations, and system readiness.
  • Design, implement, and operate scalable systems and workflows supporting regulatory compliance and legal operations.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of best-in-class compliance and legal technology platforms.
  • Champion the strategic adoption of AI and automation to drive infrastructure efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Architect and implement integrations using REST APIs for seamless cross-system functionality.
  • Mentor fellow engineers and raise the bar for code quality, documentation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Compliance and Legal environments with a deep understanding of regulatory systems.
  • Proven Staff-level experience owning complex systems and driving organization-wide initiatives.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (Python, Go).
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP) and management of SaaS/On-prem applications.
  • Proficiency in REST APIs and scripting for automations, migrations, and systems integration.
  • Experience with M&A system integrations and enterprise-scale migrations, especially in financial services.
