Salary: £71,000–£86,691

What you will do

• Build, evolve, and promote clear and comprehensive technology strategies aligned with Group strategy.
• Provide thought leadership to business and technology change delivery colleagues.
• Influence and support platform teams to align strategic roadmaps and guide Cloud product delivery.
• Analyze business needs to understand modern technology platform capabilities and improvements.
• Build and sustain strong partnerships with internal platforms, functions, and third-party vendors.
• Lead, direct, and shape approaches to solving technical and business challenges, translating requirements into solutions and roadmaps.

Requirements

• Proven background in enterprise architecture with an understanding of architecture principles and frameworks.
• Good understanding of modern technology including containerised micro-services, cloud, and API.
• Recent experience translating architecture models and roadmaps into packages of work that drive organisational change.
• Strong technology knowledge across domain driven models, microservices, event-driven design, hybrid cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, data paradigms, cyber security, resilience, and sustainability.
• Awareness of emerging technologies (e.g., Gen AI, Quantum computing) and their potential business application.
• Hybrid working: 40% (two days) in Edinburgh or Bristol office site required.
• Breadth of experience in architecture, in a regulated industry (ideally financial).

• Experience in Commercial banking domains including Core banking, Payments, and Channels.
