Strikerz is looking for a talented Technical Artist to join the Development Department and support the creation of a high-quality PC and console game project. In this role, you will bridge the gap between art and engineering, build efficient pipelines, and help artists achieve high visual quality while maintaining strong performance. You will collaborate closely with multiple disciplines and contribute to both tools development and in-engine production.
🚀 Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain tools and workflows that improve artist productivity and production efficiency
• Develop and optimize game features in Unreal Engine and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate with character art, material art, UI, animation, VFX, and engineering teams
• Support both proprietary and third-party tools including Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, and Substance Painter
• Conduct R&D to identify new techniques and pipelines improving visuals and performance
• Create and maintain clear documentation for tools, pipelines, and best practices
• Optimize assets, shaders, and rendering setups
• Support VFX workflows and contribute to high-quality effects when needed
• Provide technical guidance to artists and proactively communicate progress
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the team
📚 Required Skills
• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in game development
• Strong experience with Python and Unreal Engine Blueprints for tools and automation
• Proven experience with Unreal Engine 5 pipelines, materials, shaders, and optimization
• Hands-on experience with cloth simulation and physics systems in Unreal Engine
• Solid understanding of art workflows including modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and rendering
• Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and propose effective technical solutions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work between art and engineering teams
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Up-to-date portfolio
👍 Nice to Have
• Experience creating or supporting VFX in Unreal Engine
• Strong C++ and advanced Python scripting skills
• Experience with Houdini and procedural workflows
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Perforce or Git
• Background in sports games or large-scale simulation projects
• Experience with automated asset processing pipelines
