Location: Hybrid in New York City, Los Angeles, or Broomfield, CO (two days remote, three days onsite). This role is based in the USA.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 USD (New York/California) or $70,000–$90,000 USD (Colorado) annually, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Design and build AI-powered systems using large language models for real-world applications.
• Develop multi-step agentic workflows to automate tasks and safely interact with internal APIs and data.
• Contribute to frameworks for measuring the performance, latency, and reliability of LLM-based systems.
• Collaborate with product, data, and operations teams to bring AI-driven ideas to life.
• Contribute to backend (Python Flask, Django) and frontend (React, Typescript) codebases as needed.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design sessions to deepen technical understanding.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of software development experience (including internships, research projects, coursework, or open-source contributions).
• Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Interest in applied AI or LLMs.
• Basic understanding of backend systems (APIs, databases like SQL/Postgres) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Curiosity and a growth mindset, with a love for learning new tools and exploring AI solutions.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma) or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) projects.
• Exposure to LLM frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Familiarity with video or media processing (FFmpeg).
• Some experience with React, FastAPI, or Nuxt.
• Previous experience with AWS, Docker, or similar environments.
