TL;DR

Product Manager: Managing the entire product line lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, driving solutions with development teams. Accent on market research, requirement specification, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on defining and launching excellent enterprise software products and understanding the software development lifecycle.

Location: Mississauga, Canada – Meadowvale Office (HQ). This position requires some travel and tradeshow attendance.

What you will do

  • Manage the entire product line life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, including customer visits and phone calls.
  • Drive a solution set across development teams through the authoring of requirements and user stories, interacting daily with software developers and testers.
  • Work with Marketing to produce product collateral and sales tools, and train Sales Support and Technical Support.
  • Occasionally support the Sales team during the sale process, including assistance in product demonstration and deployment for large opportunities or key customers.
  • Attend Industry Conferences and Trade Shows, making presentations as required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive product positioning, feature sets, and messaging.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner in an Enterprise Software company.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software development and product life cycle.
  • Excellent writing, communications, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of customers, and deliver professional presentations and training sessions.
  • Ability to effectively instruct and guide customers on-site, online, and via telephone is essential.
  • Solid multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities, with effective time management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and partner effectively within and outside the immediate team to achieve desired business results.
  • Experience in agile software development methodology.
  • Solid understanding of the latest software technologies, trends, and strategies.
  • This position requires some travel and tradeshow attendance (must maintain a valid passport at all times).

  • MBA + Computer Science or Engineering degree.
