Fullstack Software Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing web platforms, tools, and interfaces for hirify.global's Reinforcement Learning organization with an accent on enabling RL environment creation, data collection, and training observability. Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA). Expect to be in office at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is available.

Salary: $300,000 - $405,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Build web platforms for RL environment creation, management, and quality review.
• Develop vendor-facing interfaces and tooling for training environment creation.
• Design and implement platforms for human data collection at scale.
• Build evaluation dashboards and observability UIs for training insights.
• Create backend services and APIs connecting tools and training infrastructure.
• Collaborate with RL researchers, data operations, and vendor management teams.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with full-stack experience.
• Proficiency in Python and modern web frameworks (React, TypeScript or similar).
• Experience building and shipping user-facing products or developer platforms.
• Ability to own a product surface end-to-end (backend, frontend, API design, database schema).
• Experience with relational databases, API design patterns, and authentication/authorization.
• Clear communication skills to translate ambiguous requirements into scoped work.

Nice to have

• Experience building data collection, labeling, or annotation platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with LLM training, fine-tuning, or evaluation workflows.
• Background building dashboards, monitoring, or observability tooling.
